TURF

• Mowing frequency and mowing height are determined by the turf type and the season of the year
• According to the respective season, we mow (once every seven to ten days depending on the rate of growth)
• Edge grass where bordered by sidewalks, curbs, and driveways on each visit.
• Blowers will be used to clean all clippings and organic material caused by our mowing and edging from sidewalk, curbs, driveways and other surfaced areas immediately after mowing, trimming and edging..
• Trash and leaves on lawn areas will be picked up and disposed of during routine maintenance visits
• All unmowable slopes and ditches adjacent to maintained areas will be maintained twice per month during the growing season with a string trimmer. Depending upon the size of the area, additional charges may negotiated upon contract signing

Pruning

Atlawnta will keep all bushes, shrubs and ornamental trees (less than 10 ft.) trimmed in accordance with standard industry practices.

Shrubs

• All heavy pruning to shrubs will be performed in the spring and fall
• All shrubs will be pruned according to the plant type and to benefit the growth and shape of the plant
• Light pruning will be done through the growing seasons to the shape of the plant
• Most of the clippings caused by pruning will be removed from plant and areas around plants
• All debris caused by pruning will be disposed of in an area determined by the customer
• Dead plant material, not requiring special equipment for removal will be removed as it appears. Owner/Agent will be contacted and advised of possible replacements
• A disposal fee will be charged for debris that needs to be hauled away

Trees

• Trees are maintained when they are in a dormant state in fall/winter
• All trees will be pruned according to tree type and in the manner to benefit the growth and shape of the tree
• Undercarriages of tree to be raised is limited to a 1 inch diameter branch. Any removal of tree branches larger than 1 inch is considered thinning and would require a separate proposal.
• All pruning will be performed from ground level. NO ladders will be used.
• Separate proposals will be needed for any tree work or removal over 12 feet

Perennials, Grasses, Groundcovers, etc.

• Perennials beds will be pruned back to ground level in early winter
• Ornamental grasses such as Pampas or Miscanthus will be pruned back according to grass type in early winter
• Lirope will be trimmed to 2 inches in the spring
• Ivy, vinca and junipers will be trimmed in spring. Ivy beds will be defined.

Leaf Removal

• Leaves will be removed from lawns, sidewalks, driveways and all hard surfaces weekly or bi-weekly according to maintenance schedule
• Leaves will be disposed of in an area determined by the customer
• An excessive volume of leaves that need to be removed from the customer property may cost extra. Customer will be notified ahead of time if any additional charges are necessary.
• We do not clean gutters

Bed Maintenance

• Bed areas are defined as shrub beds that receive pine straw or mulch
• Bed areas around perimeter of main structure will be maintained to keep a neat appearance
• Weeds will be kept to a minimum in all bed areas
• Weeds over 2 inches will be hand pulled
• Weeds smaller than 2 inches will be sprayed and left to die and decompose
• Bermuda and zoysia grass in beds will be sprayed and left to die and decompose

Detailing

• Detail pruning on specimen plantings (if needed)
• Natural fallen debris will be cleaned from lawn and beds
• Driveways, walkways and patio surfaces will be blown off
• Bed maintenance performed

Natural Areas

• Natural areas are defined as wooded areas that are not covered by regularly scheduled maintenance
• Natural areas will not receive any landscape maintenance unless otherwise agreed to in landscape contract

Storm Debris

• In the event of a natural disaster such as an ice storm wind storm, severe freeze, or any natural occurrence, Atlawnta will NOT be responsible for clean-up of large limbs and debris.
• Storm debris clean-up/removal may be provided upon request at agreed compensation

12 month visit calculation

A visit is considered when the crew either cuts the lawn or performs other maintenance tasks. There will be 52 visits during the year. Environmental conditions may cause scheduled visits to change during the contract period. In the event Atlawnta is unable to provide service due to rain or other inclement weather, Atlawnta will complete the service as soon as reasonably possible and weekly service shall resume from that date. Our scheduled maintenance enables us to maintain a constant level of crew quality and workmanship. These visits cannot be substituted or deleted.

Our price for maintenance is determined by the size of your lawn, beds and the amount of pruning required. Prices in our proposal are based upon the site as it exists at contract signing. The addition of new areas may effect pricing. Client will pay for the first month's service at the inception of the contract. Payment for succeeding month's service is due by the 15th of the month. The monthly fee billed to the Client is determined by dividing the cost of services provided over the contract period by 12 months.

Charges Not Included In Monthly Maintenance

Seasonal Color - To be installed in fall and early summer at agreed to compensation.

Pine Straw - Delivered and spread two times per year for $6.75 per bale. The work being performed in the spring and fall of the year.. Other mulches desired in the place of pine straw are also available if desired.

Irrigation - Atlawnta is not responsible for the proper operation of irrigation systems, but will report any unsatisfactory condition to the customer and will provide an estimate for repairs.

Landscape Installation - Installation of plants or other landscape materials is not included in maintenance contract.

Special Conditions

Atlawnta Landscape Services agrees to hold owner/agent harmless for any losses resulting in bodily injury, death or property damage due to the negligent acts and omissions of Atlawnta, its agents, employees or subcontractors which arise out of the work performed under our Contract

All labor, equipment, supervision, insurance and labor taxes will be furnished by Atlawnta Landscape Services. We are fully covered with public liability and damage insurance.

Atlawnta's yearly contract will continue in full force and effect at the end of the contract period on a month-to-month basis until terminated by either party upon giving thirty (30) days written notice, Certified Mail Return Receipt Requested. Upon termination any difference between the cost of services provided and monthly fees paid must be satisfied.
